Finally, a multi-ethic emoji update is on its way. The
Unicode consortium proposed an updated that shows major signs of diversity, and it's about time. The update would have five different skin tones, and many types of diversity in human appearance besides skin tone. Unicode 8.0 will be released in 2015, and although it has not been confirmed we certainly hope 8.0 include this much needed emoji update.
